DR ALPNA MITTAL

Our dear patron, Dr Alpna Mittal is a medical doctor and public health specialist. She has worked in national, international, and multilateral. settings including the UN. Her recent work includes awareness & sensitization workshops/seminars in Delhi schools and NGOs on “Adolescent Health issues” like growth and nutrition, HIV/AIDS, mental health, drug use prevention, effective communication skills, stress, peer pressure, and effective strategies to cope stress. She has authored and published research papers, including on the issue of drug prevention and harm reduction. Before moving to Doha, Dr Alpna was working as a full-time doctor in DPS school in Delhi helping school developing COVID Standard
Operating Protocol for Faculty, Students and Staff in consultation with Ministry of Health and Education. Being a spouse of a diplomat, she has accompanied her husband to Egypt, Israel, Bangladesh, Vietnam. She has a son and a daughter. She speaks Hindi, English, and Punjabi languages. Her hobbies include watching Hindi movies, reading, evening walks, and teaching kids.
